CAR KIT INSTALLATION
There are four main ways to get 'handsfree'; a personal Handsfree kit, a Plug 'N' Go, a Bluetooth Headset, or a fully fitted car kit. Having a fully fitted car kit provides Handsfree functionality with a connection to an external antenna. Car kit features include car radio mute, charging and ignition sense.

How does it work?
A bracket is fitted to the inside of your car for your mobile phone to sit in - usually somewhere around the dashboard. This is then wired to an external antenna to give a boosted reception. A microphone is also fitted. Additional accessories available include; Standard Antenna, Glass Mount, Tax Disc Antenna, Small Bracket, Radio Mute or Advanced Radio Mute.

What are the benefits?
From December 2003, it is illegal to use your mobile phone whilst driving, unless you use a Handsfree device. If you are caught on your mobile without a Handsfree, your will initially be fined £30, regardless of how safely you were driving. The fine could go as high as £1000 if it goes to court, PLUS all drivers will receive 3 points on their license. The main benefit, of course, is not that you avoid penalties, but that the roads are safer for you and other drivers.

How much does it cost?
Fully fitted car kits can start from £89.99 depending on the model of mobile and make of car. Installation should always be done by a professional, and Link Telecom can arrange the installation of car kits ANYWHERE in the UK.
